PÜR Vanity Palette Review - Dream Chaser & Goal Digger plus Swatches

Last month i was blessed to receive both of the new PÜR Cosmetics Vanity Eye and Cheek palettes to try. As someone who has a huge interest in more clean, mineral and organic cosmetic brands, PÜR has definitely been a brand on my radar. As a brand PÜR are cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and are committed to being eco-friendly and waste-minimising. A year ago i noticed that PÜR products were available to purchase on Beauty Bay and i quickly purchased an eyeshadow palette, which i thoroughly enjoyed using last summer. Then this year i discovered the 4-In-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation* and liked it so much i added it into my everyday makeup rotation. So i was excited when i received these vanity palettes, especially since they not only contain eyeshadows but they also have a bronzer, highlighter and blush. Could these be a more affordable option to the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palettes i have been lusting after?

There are two palette designs available, The PÜR Dream Chaser and the PÜR Goal Digger. The design of these palettes are fun, and i love the silver design detials. The Vanity Eye and Cheek Palettes were designed to compliment those with a busy lifestyle. At first the ingenious feature these palettes offer aren't obvious, and even though they look like your basic compact palettes they actually have a retractable standing mirror that converts the compact into a mini vanity. Pretty Cool. Simply pull the mirror upward towards you to pull the mirror out, and voila you have a mini vanity for makeup application on the go. All of the powders are formulated with green tea, ginseng, and B Vitamins. The pigmentation of the powders are strong, but not overly pigmented that you could look like a clown applying on a train on the way to work. Though the powder formulations are incredibly smooth and give a little kick up, their smooth blendability makes it super easy to just brush away any fall out. So you arrive at your destination looking put together and no one would ever know you spent a few rushed minutes on the train perfecting your look.

The compact size is pretty slender and easy to slip into your handbag, and the large mirror really helps with precise application and touch ups. The quality of the mirror is really good too! Each palette contains four eyeshadows and 3 cheek products. The names of the products are available both on the box and on the back of the palettes.

PÜR Goal Digger Left - PÜR Dream Chaser Right

Goal Digger - Has more cool toned shimmery powders, with more adventurous eyeshadow shades. The shiny mirrored silver packaging helps to reflect this palette.

Dream Chaser - Has more warm toned neutral and matte powders, housed within a matte silver compact, which helps you to differentiate the two palettes apart.

The Night Time Party Girls Palette

Glow Getter - A soft shimmery icy-champagne highlighter
Glambition - A cool mid-toned cool rosy pink blusher
Motivation - A cool toned dark matte bronzer
Aim High - A satin sheen Cream eyeshadow
24/7 - A deep satin sheen plum purple eyeshadow
No Limit - A shimmery glittery silver eyeshadow
Grind - A shimmery deep grey eyeshadow with a silver glitter

L-R: Grind - No Limit - 24/7 - Aim High - Motivation - Glambition - Glow Getter.

The pigmentation of the Goal Digger Palette is way better than the Dream Chaser! The intense pigmentation of the Glow Getter highlighter is simply stunning, it's so blendable that it can be sheered out for a soft delicate highlight or built up for an intense glow. Its pretty similar to the Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight Celestial Powder only slightly icier. The cool-toned rosy pink blush Glambition has a slight hint of lilac to it, making it flattering for both warm and cool skin tones. Motivation the dark matte bronzer is incredibly pigmented. So i recommend applying with a fluffy brush and building up layers, as opposed to going straight in with a denser brush. I have worn this palette with the No limit silver eyeshadow packed all over the lid (it is a little choppy due to the glitter particles, so i like to wet my brush beforehand to grip the product and increase pigmentation). I apply the dark grey shade Grind in the outer eye for a smokier look, and finish off using 24/7 on the bottom lash line. Purple eyeshadows really compliment my brown eyes and this shadow is by far my favourite of the two palettes. I do feel that this palette would have benefited better with a matte crease shade though. This palette is perfect for nighttime looks creating a bold eye-catching look.

The Daytime Palette for Warm & Neutral-tone Lovers

Illusion - A soft peach blush, perfect for pale skin tones
Visionary - A delicate warm coral blusher
Driven - A light toned warm bronzer with a satin sheen
Aspire - A Matte cream eyeshadow
Good Intentions - A dark red-toned brown, almost maroon in colour
Utopia - A mid-toned warm brown
Fantasy - A dark neutral brown

L-R: Fantasy - Utopia - Good Intentions - Aspire - Driven - Visionary - Illusion.

Though I'm sure Illusion is supposed to be a highlighter it's just far too dark and warm toned to be a highlighter on my complexion. So i use this as a blush topper to layer over a neutral blush. Though fair skin-tones would suit this as a blush on its own. The coral Visionary blusher is very rich in pigment and compliments both warm and cool skin tones. The Driven bronzer though it looks light in the pan shows up much more pigmented on the skin than you would think. It actually reminds me of the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar bronzer. The eyeshadows are much more pigmented than i anticipated and don't have as much fall-out when applying with a brush, as they do when swatching with a finger. The Utopia shade will probably be the most popular shade with warm eyeshadow lovers. I tend to wear Utopia packed all over the lid and blended through the crease, i will say that it does take a little work to blend out though. Then i mix the darker shades Good Intentions and Fantasy together to deepen up the outer corner of my eye, Fantasy is insanely pigmented so it's best to gradually build up the colour or you might end up looking like a raccoon. Aspire i find great for blending out Utopia. The shadows are a little drier than i am used to and can be a bit of work to blend out, but once blended they look beautiful on the eyes. I like that you can create a beautiful warm smoky eye for both day and night with just these eyeshadows and the eyeshadows are also long-wearing.

Left: Glow Getter - Glambition - Motivation | Right: Illusion - Visionary & Driven

Overall i really like these palettes. The Goal Digger palette hasn't received as much love from me because of the darker colours and i don't wear eyeshadow on a daily basis, but the Dream Chaser palette i have used often. If you are looking for an all-in-one product to do a complete look then i highly recommend. Especially if you are someone who has an active life and just wants one palette to complete their entire look and fit in with their busy lifestyle. I believe that the PÜR Dream Chaser palette can be a more affordable option to the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette. Next on my radar is the Strobe Palettes, 4-in1-Tinted Moisturiser, Glow Together Bronzer and Air Perfection Cushion Foundation.

The PÜR Vanity Palettes retail for £30 each in the UK (but are currently on sale for just £22.40 via Beauty Bay) and they retail for $36 each in the USA
They are available for sale at: PÜR Cosmetics | Ulta (DC - GD ) | Beauty Bay
Marks & Spencer (DC - GD) | Feel Unique | Look Fantastic

PUR Cosmetics are also Cruelty Free

What do you think? Do you like the idea of this unique palette?

Thanks for Reading

Mintd Box Luxury Subscription Beauty Box | May Box Review - The Holiday Beauty Prep

'The Holiday Beauty Prep' is the newest Mintd Beauty Box for May 2017. It features 4 full sized products and 1 deluxe-sized sample. The box retails for £65 and has a value is £183 saving you a huge total of £118 off of the retail value. I must say that i get excited each month to receive a Mintd beauty box, and as i have received 3 consecutive boxes in a row i received the extra bonus treat of the Argentum Apothecary Le Savon Lune which is a facial cleansing bar that retails for a whopping £104! This particular box might not be one that will intrigue everyone like the previous 2 boxes (reviews here and here) especially if you are most interested in facial skincare products; However i personally have really enjoyed all of the products i have actually tested from this months box, and i will definitely be repurchasing a few of them. I received this months box a little later than usual and i always like to try every product out before sharing my opinion. Then i have also suffered with bad health over the past couple of weeks and i have really had to push myself through the pain just to eat and sleep, never mind blogging. Thankfully i thoroughly enjoy writing up these Mintd box posts, so it was worth pushing through, even if it did take me a little longer. My apologies. Anyway, lets take a look at what wonderful goodies that were inside this months box shall we......

"At Mintd box we aim to inspire & encourage women from all walks of life to own their presence, reveal their inner beauty through experimentation and discovery of new luxury beauty brands. We believe that every women deserves to feel confident and in control of her day"

Miller Harris Lumiere Doree Body Wash | Full Size 250ml - Retail Value of £24

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Parfum (fragrance), Citric Acid, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Trideceth-9, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Benzoate, Pathenol, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Potassium Sorbate, Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium-7, Linalool, Limonene, Hydroxycitronellal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Salicylate.

The aim of Mays beauty box is about getting your body summer ready, leaving your skin renewed, refreshed and glowing from head to toe ready for the upcoming season. So what better way to start the process than with a body wash. Miller Harris was a small niche London-based perfumery brand, until Michelle Obama helped the 10 year old brand get more exposure worldwide after she was generously gifted some of their miniature pure-wax candles by Samantha Cameron. Suddenly with the business boom and retailers like Feel Unique, Net-a-Porter and Selfridges shipping worldwide Miller Harris became accessible for all who wanted to dabble in a little of their luxury products worldwide. Though Miller Harris is a brand mostly known for their beautiful candles, they actually create an array of beautiful perfume-based products; from perfumes and body lotions, to body washes and body scrubs - with fragrance being the foundations of the brand, and the heart and soul of everything they create. Every small detail comes from one very passionate and driven woman Lyn Harris and the name 'Miller Harris' actually comes from the combination of her father's middle name (Miller) and her own Surname (Harris). Lyn a true connoisseur for aromas loves the simplicity of raw materials and has been known to wait ages for a new crop to become available. In a commercial world where the packaging is often designed before the scent is even created, all of Lyn's products are created first from the heart, and with her own personal raw emotion. She will get a memory, or a specific picture in her head and want to recreate it. She knows that luxury perfume is an elite business (a bespoke perfume from her will set you back a shocking £8,000) but she wanted to create everyday luxuries with a price point that can be affordable for all, rather than just that once a year special occasion treat.

For me, it was love at first sniff with the Lumiere Doree Body Wash. Similar to my experience with the Elemental Herbology Detox oil which has been a multiple repurchase ever since. Despite this body wash containg SLS i experience no irritation and my skin is left nourished, invigorated and cleansed after every wash. I have thoroughly enjoyed combining this with my Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner in the mornings for the past couple of weeks and can safely say that i have found my summer staple shower combination. The texture of the cleansing gel is lightweight yet rich enough to completely cover the skin like a hydrating blanket of silk. The scent i can only describe as almost identical to the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. Only a touch sweeter and definitely much more delicate and refined. Those who like the EH balm scent but may find it a little overpowering, might surprisingly enjoy this. The scent and texture together help to make this the perfect luxurious uplifting and refreshing morning wake-me-up shower companion. I am now lusting after this in the Perfume and the Body Lotion also. Hopefully one day they will have a matching candle too, as we all know how much i love candles (i'm currently enjoying this brand). I really am fond of how much love and passion goes into each and every Miller Harris creation and i will continue to support this lovely brand for many years to come. The delightful and unique scents along with the chic packaging make the products wonderful gifts, also i would happily display a hand and body soap from this brand in my bathroom.

Soveral Mandarin Kiss Lip Restore Balm | Full Size - Retail Value of £17

Ingredients: Vitis vinefera (Grapeseed) oil, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Cera alba (beeswax), Mangifera indica (Mango) seed butter, Citrus reticulata (mandarin) peel oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf extract, Limonene*, Geraniol*, Linalool*. *Natural constituent of essential oil listed.

Mintd Box have been on a roll with their lip balm products recently. Soveral is a brand i have spotted a little on Instagram and in beauty magazines, but have seen very little about. I think this is what intrigued me about the brand, even though they are known for their exquisite and award winning face oils. I must say that the Forever Young Rejuvenating Oil really sounds intriguing, as well as their masks. Starting out with the brands lip balm has gone really well for me, because if i brand can master a fantastic lip balm then I'm much more trusting to splurge out on a pricier product in their range. This lip balm is everything i wanted the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm to be. Though that balm has worked miracles for everyone i know, sadly that has not been the case for me. The texture is almost identical, only the Soveral mandarin kiss lip balm has a very delicate sweet mandarin-like natural scent to it and cleaner ingredients. Unlike the Nuxe it doesn't have a taste either which i like, and i must say that i do find that this helps to restore my dry and extremely-sensitive chapped lips. Packed full of nourishing mango and cocoa butter, this has really helped to repair and restore my dry lips. I have used it everyday since receiving it and will definitely be repurchasing. If their lip balm is anything to go by, then i am super excited to try more by this brand. A little insight in to the brand... Soveral is a British luxury skincare brand who are known for their clean and organic products, creating a beautiful harmony of the earths natural ingredients combined with cutting-edge science, to bring us only the purest and finest products. The brand was founded back in 2005 by facialist and aromatherapist Alexandra Soveral who is the perfumier and cosmetic formulator side of the brand. Then there is her partner Jorj Aleem who is the one who creates concepts and defines of how the products will be presented. Sounds like the perfect duo to me. After years of being in industry Alexandra became aware of how irresponsible science is being used within the skincare industry. So she decided to combine her knowledge of science with her passion for natural skincare and set up her own little research lab researching into natural raw ingredients, and their benefits on the human health. After 4 years of research she made her dream of an Organic skincare line a reality. Alexandra personally picks all of the ingredients used within her products, and hand blends each and every item in her line - delivering the true language of nature. Watching each ingredient transform from it original raw state to the finished products we see on the shelves today. Unlike many of today's brands that concentrate too much on false claims to market their products to sell, Soveral don't make any fancy marketing claims to try and trick the consumer into purchasing. Instead choosing to base their marketing on what they truly believe their products and treatments can achieve.

Kahina Giving Beauty Essaouira Body Serum | 30ml Deluxe Mini retails for $32/£32 - Full size Value is £85/$98

Ingredients: argania spinosa (argan) oil*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil*, caprylic/capric triglyceride, ocos nucifera (coconut) nut oil*, citrullus lanatus (watermelon) seed oil, pelargonium graveolens (geranium) leaf/flower oil*, rosa damascena (rose) flower oil*, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil*, santalum spicatum (sandalwood) wood oil, tanacetum annuum flower oil*, citrus aurantium (petitgrain bigarade) leaf/bud oil, bisabolol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract* *Ingredient from Organic Farming

Another product in this months box that i fell deeply in love with! Housed within Kahina Givings' signature miron glass packaging, you would be fooled into thinking this body oil is like every other out there, wrong! With Kahina giving products you can expect beautiful top-quality, natural and organic ingredients. All of the ingredients are 100% natural and 97% if the ingredients are Organic. As i mentioned in this post, the use of the fantastic miron glass is not only aesthetically pleasing and chic, but its purpose is to help protect the ingredients inside. Therefor providing a purely organic product without the use of alcohol or parabens as preservatives to extend their shelf life. Another great quality is the pump feature as this makes for great convenience and less mess. The formula is rich in vitamin E which helps to replenish and restore dry skin. Consisting of a high concentration of pure Argan oil to help to improve the skins elasticity and texture, while also soothing any redness. Watermelon Seed oil, Sunflower oil, Olive oil and Coconut oil help to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin; While the blend of pure steam distilled essential oils like Lavender, Rose and Sandalwood provide the aromatherapy benefits of the oil, leaving your skin smelling beautifully fresh combining sophisticated floral notes with a hint of exotic woody notes. Kahina Giving Beauty claim that this oil compliments the spring and summer months perfectly, though i personally feel that i could use this all year round. I enjoy applying this to both wet and dry skin. In the mornings i will apply to damp skin after my shower if i have not used this beforehand, but most of the time i prefer to use this at night on dry skin after i have applied the Aerin Rose de Grasse Body Cream all over my body from my neck down. I like that it absorbs really easily into the skin without leaving any greasiness or tacky residue behind. I have extremely dry legs and sensitive skin and i have found that it has helped with the dryness and reduced the itchiness. My skin is also glowing after applying this, so i cannot wait to apply this over a summers tan. Though the full size of this is £85 i would be happy enough to splurge on this as a yearly birthday treat. I will go into more detail about the founder Katharine in a future blogpost once i have purchased and reviewed a couple more of her products like this and this.

Patchology Posh Peel Pedicure (2 Treatments) | Full Size - Retail Value of £32/$35 or $20 for a single treatment

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Alcohol Denat., Alcohol, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Salicylic Acid, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, Panthenol, Allantoin, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance (Parfum)

I am probably the worse at caring for my feet, which is such a shame since i take such good care of my upper body and face. I have really dry feet, but worse i have a condition that makes me break out in red blisters all over my feet when i get stressed, or my inflammatory bowel disease flares up. I actually find myself becoming quite self conscious about getting my feet out as i actually find it gets worse when they are exposed. I have been a fan of foot peel sock treatments for a while and use at the beginning and end of winter every year. They really do work and it can be a little scary seeing all the dead skin coming off on your feet, but the scare is worth it for the clean, fresh baby-like feet that will surface, you will want to show them off to the world. I have not been able to use these yet as my Dr recommended that i wait until my feet are more healed before using, so i am following her orders. However, the moment my feet are better i will definitely be testing these out to see if i prefer it over my trusty Korean Foot Peeling treatments. The Patchology Posh Peel Pedicure treatments consist of 2 pairs of socks and 4 tubes of solution. The solution contains a mixture of AHA's & BHAs in the form of Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic and Fruit acids to help exfoliate. Simply pour 1 treatment into each socks, sit back relaxing watching some tv or blogging away for a good 30 minutes (though you can walk around in them too) then simply rinse away the solution in the shower to neutralise the peel, and watch all the dead skin come away. Keep in mind not all will come away straight away, the skin will usually come away gradually over a few day period, revealing healthier looking feet. I must admit i always find these feet masks fun to use and I'm optimistic i will enjoy this as i have enjoyed the other products from Patchology i have tried. I am a huge fan of their SmartMud No Mess Mud masks and use one every few weeks.

Lauren B. Beauty Botanical Nail Treatment | Full Size - Retail Value of £78/$100

I have a bad habit of biting the dry skin around my nails, it's an anxiety symptom that i have done my entire life. I mentioned here that i started using oil's to help soften the skin so that it would encourage me to bite less, which it has. The Lauren B Beauty Botanical Nail Treatment comes with 2 wand applicators. One being a nail growth serum and the other is a nail and cuticle balm. The growth serum has what looked like an eyeliner brush tip and is applied from the cuticle to the tip of the nail and helps to repair damaged brittle nails. I am pretty lucky that my nails are strong, but they can be a little brittle towards the ends sometimes, so i have really enjoyed rubbing this into the ends of my nails in the evenings and i have found it to help strengthen, whilst also giving my nails a lovely shine. The nail and cuticle balm helps to hydrate and restore dry, parched cuticles. Despite being a lightweight oil it is non-greasy, and the pen click applicator makes it travel friendly and perfect for using throughout the day when out and about for touch ups. I have only used the treatment once so far and i intend to continue using it as my weekly Sunday treatment. Lauren has always been passionate about nail polish and after years of practising on her grandmother as a child she decided to set up a salon from her garage at the tender age of 15. With her passion Lauren ended up working in the beauty industry and decided to turn her addiction into her dream job. After multiple experiences in the field of luxury beauty, Lauren finally started her own line of nail polish Lauren B. Beauty. Paying particular attention to create easy to apply, long-lasting nail polishes. Apparently her nail polishes are so refined that they are being named 'nail couture', and you can expect your manicure to last for a good two weeks! I mean wow! Also all of her products are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

Bonus Subscription Product. Available if you sign up for a 3, 6 or 9 month subsciption

Argentum Apothecary Le Savon Lune | Full Size 150g - Retail Value of £104/$120

Ingredients: Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Triticum Vulgare Starch, Colloidal Silver, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Coco Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glycerin, Bentonite, Sodium DNA, Parfum (Fragrance) Quartz, Limonene, Linalool, Eugenol ~ 98% from natural origins.

When i first saw this i thought it was a body soap and my first thought was how incredibly over priced it was for a soap, but then when i realised it was a face cleansing bar i realised why. Just looking at the cleansing bar and its exquisite packaging and details, it reminds me luxury toiltries you would expect to find in an upmarket 5 star hotel. The packaging is truly luxurious and chic, and just screams elegance yet simplicity. However i don't really judge a skincare product by its packaging, that usually only sways around 2% of my opinion - mostly for practicality. Argentum Apothecary are a small company that believe in creating quality products instead of just churning out product after product to stay relevant. In fact they're only 4 products in their entire range! I personally find bars of soap a hassle, mainly because they are awkward to dry and I'm quite paranoid about mould and mildew growth. However silver is an ingredient that is antibacterial and anti microbial (find out more about silver here) so i am a little less worried about this, however i will feel more at ease once i buy something to store it in that helps keep it dry - especially as this is going on my face! Despite this looking like a bar of soap it is not! The cleansing bar has been formulated as skin care in it's own right, rather than just a plain old bar of soap.  Argentum Apothecary created a soap-free cleanser using Silver (their patented formula of Silver Hydrosol & DNA HP) and Bentonite, which is a colloidal clay made from aged volcanic ash that will help to gently cleanse and restore the natural balance of your skin. In combination with Silver Hydrosol, Bentonite increases the purifying action, without dehydrating or irritating your skin - making this great for all skin types and especially those who want to target blemishes. I find that the fragrance leans somewhat masculine (making this a perfect unisex product) and it can be a little overpowering if your sensitive to scents. It actually reminds of walking in a distinguished gentlemans barber shop, kind of like the ones my father would drag me into as a child when he was getting all dressed up in a suit. I tested this cleanser the way i do with all cleansers, both at night and in the morning. I also tested with light makeup on to see how it was at makeup removal. Though i prefer to opt for an oil cleanser to remove my makeup as my first cleanse, i was very surprised to see that it did a pretty good job at removing my makeup (though i was not wearing mascara that day). Every time i have used this my skin has felt clean and hydrated, whilst looking visibly healthier and clear. No dryness or irritation at all. I have also found this wonderful for using over my legs post shaving. I sometime get ingrown hairs whn i use cheap razors and i have found this helps prevent that, and leaves my legs feeling incredibly soft and silky smooth. Unfortunately a wet soap is not the prettiest product to share in Instagram photos and it just cannot justify the price to purchase a second just for picture purposes. However i incredibly thankful to have experienced this luxurious product. I am intrigued to try the other 3 products in their line now, I would most definitely splurge on the L'Etoile Infinie Face Oil.

5 Beauty Products I'm Loving - April Edition

So it's been a couple of months now since i did a monthly favourites blogpost about the beauty products i am currently loving, so i thought it was about time i caught up. Especially seeing as i have a fair few new discoveries i am dying to share with you. So this is the 2nd instalment of my '5 Beauty Products I'm Loving' series on the blog, as i actually forgot March's (bad blogger Jamey), but to be fair i have had a lot going on in my personal life. You can catch up on what i was loving during February here (in fact i am still obsessed with all of those products) however now there are now some new obsessions that have joined them. So without further ado here are the products i have been obsessed with over the past couple of months........ keep your eyes peeled for an exclusive skincare favourites blogpost coming up soon....

1. Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Hydrating Cloud Cream* - £69 / $80 | As you may have seen recently if you follow my blog or my Instagram i have been testing out the New Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Skincare line for around 6 weeks. The Hydrating Cloud Cream is by far the must have super-star product of the entire line up, even though i personally think every product is wonderful (no i am not sponsored to say that). I generally think Perricone MD have been on a role over the past year first with the amazing Pre:Empt Series and now with their revolutionary H2 line. The entire Elemental Energy line is powered by Hydrogen (which Perricone MD are naming it's H2 Energy Complex™). This stable form of hydrogen is incredibly powerful at deeply penetrating the skin to help energise and activate skin cells, adding vitality back into the skin through intense hydration. The revolutionary formula really helps to infuse hydration into dull, tired and dehydrated skin that is lacking in water-moisture. The texture is incredibly unique and lightweight. The result is always perfectly hydrated, refreshed and balanced skin. If you struggle with unbalanced skin i highly recommend you try this out, because even after just a week of use you will notice a huge difference! This is the only day moisturiser i have reached for over the last 6 weeks, and that says something! You can read more about this moisturiser here and the entire H2 Elemental Energy line here.

2. BECCA First Light Priming Filter - £32 / $38 | Despite being someone who doesn't like the colour purple, i gravitated towards this pretty lilac primer like it was a glittery unicorn flying through the sky. So the moment payday came around i couldn't put the primer and this other Becca product into my basket quick enough. I have been a fan of the Backlight Priming Filter (and pretty much all Becca products ) for quite some time now (you can find more Becca reviews here); But i think i have to say that i love this primer even more! Dare i say that this is my favourite Becca product yet? The lavender-toned lightweight primer really helps to brighten up dull, tired and sallow-looking skin parting a beautiful soft-focus dewy glow that will wake up any complexion. I find that it blends into the skin seamlessly as if they were one, and leaves behind a beautiful lit-from-within, healthy sheen. I imagine if you crushed some beautiful pearls and mixed with some finely powdered diamond dust and dusted them all over your face, it would look a little something like this. It's honestly stunning and my favourite glowy primer to date (I've tested a fair few). What’s more the formula gets it's lightweight texture from the use of refreshing Spring Water and Hyaluronic Acid to help hydrate and plump up the skin, Prickly Pear Flower to re-energise skin and Ginger to help combat redness and sooth any skin irritations. Ginger also helps to improve the appearance of skin because it helps to increase circulation. Many people with oilier skin have said they are too nervous to try this, but my oily-combination skin loves this! I find that the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid really helps to keep the skin moisturised all day, therefor producing much less oil. This is everything i wanted the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Primer to be, and its more affordable! This used under the foundation mentioned in this post gives me flawless-looking skin that lasts all day! This is the perfect morning wake-me-up product for anyone like myself who gets next-to-no sleep, as well as those suffering with a self inflicted hangover or jet lag. It's like cheating a good facial, ssh no one will ever know! This product is another perfect example of 'good for you cosmetics', that infuses good skincare with makeup. Well done Becca.

3. Cover FX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation - £34 / $40 | I discovered the Cover FX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation last year and was intrigued as i had never heard anything about it before. Everyone seemed to be a huge fan of the Custom Cover Drops, but their other foundation formulas never seem to get a mention. Which is a shame as i have to say that Cover FX in my opinion have some of the best foundation formulas out there! The only problem is trying to find the right shade (online) as there are so many shades to choose from it can be a little overwhelming. I also find the shades differ with each foundation formula. Even though i have a warm undertone, i find neutral-toned foundations suit me better (otherwise when they oxidise i can end up looking like something off of the Simpsons) Crikey! Before i started using more skin-brightening skincare products the shade N35 suited me perfectly, now i am more of a N25 so i have to mix in a couple of drops of The Body Shop Lightening Drops to get my correct shade. The texture of this foundation is unusual and somewhat thick, like a lotion/cream hybrid. However it doesn't feel heavy or thick on the skin once blended in (unlike this and this). I love to apply this foundation with a dense buffing brush like this or this and then go over with a damp beauty blender to make sure everything is blended into the skin. It is one of those foundations that takes a little while to set but i like that, as it means i have more time to work with it to make sure its perfected before it sets. The foundation formula is enriched with vitamins C & E which help to brighten, protect and help with ageing (meaning this is one that looks lovely on those with fine lines), i like that it smooths over fine lines, dry patches and pores. It's a buildable foundation that can be taken from sheer to full coverage, however i personally prefer this as a light-medium coverage and if i want extra coverage i use the Cover FX Total Cover Cream Foundation underneath beforehand (which also has an spf of 30 btw). The finish is very natural with a slight healthy glow, but not glowy enough to be considered a dewy foundation. However i do enjoy mixing in a couple of drops of these to add a sun-kissed glow. Though this is oil free i always set my oily areas (the t-zone) with a powder and i find the more hours that go by, the more beautiful this foundation looks on the skin.

4. Kevyn Aucoin Liquid Contour Wand - Sculpting Medium - £38 / $48 |  Kevin Aucoin practically pioneered contouring in the beauty industry, and despite every company following suit and coming out with their own contour products, i always find myself reaching for his over any others that i own! I like that every Kevyn Aucoin product i have ever tried has been of the highest quality and i have been a fan of his medium sculpting powder, creamy glow sculpting duo and his contour book for a long time. So i knew the moment i saw the release of his contour wands that i just had to try them out. Both Cult Beauty and Love Makeup only stock the contour shades (i couldn't see the highlight shades) so i chose a contour shade i knew would suit me the best, Medium. Initially i thought medium would be too dark (after seeing 1 swatch online) but it suits me perfectly. I love how the product is housed in a pen with a soft-bristled brush that you click to dispense for easily application, its like a giant Touche Eclat Pen. However i use the pen for precise application but i prefer to use a small buffing brush or beauty blender to blend it out. The texture is lightweight just like a concealer and blends seamlessly into the skin, lasts all day and layers extremely well with contouring powders over top. It works over top of all foundation formulas and it even blends well over top of powders (i learnt by mistake when i set with powder beforehand one day lol). If you are someone who wants to start contouring but are too nervous that it will look a little too drastic or drag queen like, then i highly recommend this. Rest assured this sheers out beautifully and is incredibly buildable. I honestly haven't reached for any other contour product in months! Now i just need to get my mitts on the highlight shades. I guess a mini Sephora Spree is in order?!

5. The Perfect Eyebrow Trio | OK so this last favourite might be cheating a little, but seeing as i have not done a monthly favourites in a couple of months i thought it would be acceptable to include this dynamic trio together! Especially seeing as i use all 3 of them in conjunction with each other to do my brows every single day. I honestly don't remember how i ever did my brows before these 3 products came into my life. It's no secret that i have been a huge fan of the precise-tipped Anastasia Brow Wiz for years. It's pretty much all i have used along with this for the past 5 years! So when Tope kindly sent me her new Mahogany Naturals Brown Eye Brow Pencil* (£20) i wasn't that enthusiastic that i was going to love it. I have been a huge fan of her hair products for a while (especially this and this) and have repurchased numerous times, so i was excited when she said she was going to start her own cruelty-free makeup line for darker skin tones. Anyway, going back to my brows.... when i first started out doing my brows (when i wasn't using a black eyeliner *cringe) I loved the Etude House Drawing Pencil, but i found because of the size (and firm waxy texture) i would draw my brows far too thick. I assumed this pencil would do the same....boy was i wrong!!! The texture of this pencil is beautiful! It's creamy, but not so creamy that it applies too much product. Its pretty much my ABH Brow Wiz with an angled shape to cover a wider area of space! It's definitely one of those products that took me by surprise and I'm so glad that it's now part of my everyday makeup routine. The colour is perfect for me, its a dark brown that's not too deep nor too warm; However because its a universal 'brown' shade it wont suit all skin-tones or hair shades, i find that it will suit light-medium to medium-deep skin tones best and i hope she will come out with more shades in the future. Though this fills in a good 90% of my brows i find that the tail of my brow needs more definition. The Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Ebony (£17/$23) is the perfect product for achieving this, used in conjunction with the Louise Young Angled Brow Brush LY30 (£10) my brows have been the most defined they have ever been, whilst looking natural and avoiding the harsh Instabrow look. This brush is honestly amazing!!! In fact i have loved every brush i have ever purchased by Louise Young (especially the LYO6 Blush Brush and this). I actually have my friend Alicja of Land of Makeup to thank for the powder and brush, as i discovered both of these while playing with her makeup products during one of our girly sleepovers. I rushed out and purchased both products the next day and 2 months later they are all i use. I have learnt to accept that my brows will always be distant cousins that hate each other behind each others back's (in length & shape because my eyes are different shapes) im not lucky enough to have brows that are sisters; but at least they stay put and they look natural and fabulous all day long.

All of the products within this post are also cruelty free. So these are the products that really stood out to me the most over the past couple of months. I will admit that it was hard to choose just 5 (*cough 7 lol) especially as i had a lot of new skincare items i was loving, but as i mentioned i will be doing a blogpost exclusively on the skincare items i am loving. I would love to know what beauty products have you been loving recently? Do any of the products i shared in this post intrigue you?.....

Thanks for Reading Lovelies
